Adobe Reader Critical Vulnerabilities
Thursday, February 14, 2008
Several vulnerabilities were discovered in Adobe Reader that can cause arbitrary code to be executed on the target user's system.  In order to exploit this vulnerability, an attacker would have to convince the user to open the malicious PDF file.  The malicious file could come from a shared directory under their control, as an attachment or a link to download the file.

Adobe issued Reader version 8.1.2 that fixes these vulnerabilities.  We recommend immediately updating to the latest version of Adobe Reader and/or applying the latest patches available from the vendor.  Please be cautious when opening any email attachment or clicking any links.
