Greetings Perimeter Friends, Perimeter
Internetworking would like to wish you a happy, healthy and prosperous
new year! As for Perimeter, we are anticipating a very exciting year.
Here's to 2006! CEO YEAR END REVIEW 2005 was a
remarkable year for Perimeter. During the last twelve months we have
merged with 2 companies (with 2 more complete as of this date), added
over 650 new clients, 27 new partners, offered over a dozen new
services, and expanded our staff to over 130 professionals located in
four technical operations centers across the US. All of these
accomplishments have resulted in revenue growth of over 46% and profit
growth of over 100% compared to 2004. Our growth achievements and
unique “In-the-Cloud? approach was the subject of four nationally
recognized awards/honors as well as national and local press coverage. Engaging
in mergers with Catbird and US Networks added both knowledge personnel
as well as diverse new services. These new services include, but are
not limited to Rogue User Monitoring, Vulnerability Monitoring, Network
Management and Helpdesk support. Another benefit to these mergers is
the addition of a highly sophisticated security operations center to
Perimeter's existing infrastructure. The Raleigh, NC, location became
Perimeter's 4th business location and now serves as the primary
monitoring facility. Perimeter also maintains offices in Fort
Lauderdale, FL, Charlotte, NC, and our headquarters located in Milford,
CT. Perimeter's Secure Network Operations Center in Raleigh, NC
Last
quarter Perimeter was recognized by Cisco Systems and Fortinet.
Perimeter achieved the Managed Security Service Provider Advanced
Technology Provider (ATP) status from Cisco Systems and Perimeter was
named Fortinet's 2005 Eastern Region Partner of the Year. In the
fall of 2005 Perimeter was ranked among the 2005 Deloitte Technology
Fast 500 and the Connecticut Technology Fast 50. This was Perimeter's
second consecutive year to be awarded and ranked in the top ten on
Deloitte's Technology Fast 50. In addition to the Deloitte awards,
Perimeter was ranked # 7 on CRN's 2005 Fast Growth Security Companies.
During the course of the year our business success and unique
business model was detailed in numerous publications, the most
important of which were: Information Security - Help From Above Communication News – Bank Outsources Security to the Cloud
Network World - Users Bank on Managed Security Services This
summer, Perimeter will be hosting our third Client Conference which
will be held July 17-18 at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City.

| | | As
we continue to grow our client base we increase our employment team
accordingly. Each of our departments continues to expand and below you
will find an update from the Vice Presidents of our departments. Command Center Update from Gail Beauchemin, VP of the Command Center We
are delighted to say that during the last quarter of 2005 we had
“welcome calls? with many new clients. Our welcome call has been met
with rave reviews and has become an instrumental step in the transition
process. In October, we completed the transitioning of the
Charlotte client support calls to our Milford, CT facility. To
accommodate the additional support needs of our clients we added Steven
Earl to our team. He has enhanced our team with his troubleshooting
talents and his excellent customer skills. We're excited to have him on
board. As we head into 2006 we look forward to the consolidation
of all client monitoring services as well as incoming client calls into
our Milford, CT facility. In preparation for this change we are in the
process of hiring additional staff to manage the influx of incoming
calls. We are also forming a dedicated team who will be focusing solely
on monitoring. With the addition of the Raleigh facility we have taken
our first step in consolidating our resources by moving our night
operation to Raleigh. Our newest Raleigh team member, Tim McClain,
joined us in December. Tim comes to us from MCI and AT&T and brings
5 years of Telecommunications and NOC experience to our team. We would like to thank you for your business as well as the opportunity to service your needs. Deployment Group Update from Chuck Lynskey, VP of the Deployment Group The
fourth quarter has been a continuation of a very busy and productive
year. The Deployment Group ended 2005 with a strong finish, working
with many clients to complete projects by end of year. Looking back at
a very successful year, we processed over 500 new contracts and
addendums across multiple markets; banking, healthcare, SMEs,
non-profit and the list goes on. As 2006 begins, we will look to
enhance the Deployment Group team in order to better support and
service your deployment needs in a timely and efficient manner. We
thank you for the continued opportunity to earn your trust each and
every day and look forward to working with you in the new year. Engineering Update from Bill Knight, VP of Engineering During
the fourth quarter the engineering team focused on unix/linux security
while adding additional servers and storage to support the increasing
volume of gateway based services. The team is currently working on
numerous projects and upgrades that will be launched in 2006. Our new
Operations Group, headed by Raj Honnaya, is already expanding with the
addition of DJ Higgins. DJ moved from our engineering team to our
Operations group where his knowledge of our IP Phone system and our
core-hardware in our facilities will help assist in maintaining and
troubleshooting. Product Management & Development Update from Rik Foote, VP of Product Management
In
the fourth quarter of 2005, we made several additions to Perimeter's
services portfolio. We released version 2.0 of our Email Content
Filtering service providing significant feature and functionality
upgrades. We rolled out our new interactive web portal, ViewPoint.
ViewPoint is much more than a reporting portal - the system is designed
to be a tool for our clients to interact with Perimeter, view vital
service related information, administrate certain service elements and
best of all, keep an eye on Perimeter's service related SLA
performance.
Additionally, we have been able to make minor
version enhancements to existing services such as MailSafe, Web Content
Filtering and Policy Compliance Auditing. We are continuing to
evaluate new security technologies for potential inclusion into
Perimeter's "Security In The Cloud" model and will have several service
additions and enhancements to announce in the coming months. Sales Team Update from Kathleen Roberge, Sr. VP of Sales
Perimeter
closed 2005 with a tremendous fourth quarter! During the fourth
quarter, the sales team closed 189 contracts which included new client
contracts as well as additional contracts for existing clients. The
sales team continues to extend its focus to the financial industry,
healthcare industry, and SME market.
Perimeter's partner
program continues to expand adding four new partners over the quarter
and one notable addition this quarter was the announcement of a formal
partnership with Cisco in which Perimeter has been chosen as a managed
service provider for Cisco technology.
While we continue to
grow and expand our sales team, we are also enhancing the skills and
qualifications of our existing team members. A special congratulations
to Maureen Kaplan, Senior Sales Engineer, who recently achieved her
CISSP certification. We know this will be a tremendous asset to our
clients as Maureen plays a major role in assisting and understanding
their security objectives.
Finally, a special thank you to
Perimeter's clients for making 2005 our best year yet! Thank you for
your continued support and insight. We are looking forward to serving
your needs in 2006!
Thank you for your continued interest in Perimeter Internetworking. |
