As
we continue to grow our client base we increase our employment team
accordingly. Each of our departments continues to expand and below you
will find an update from the Vice Presidents of our departments. Deployment Group Update from Chuck Lynskey, VP of the Deployment Group As
we adapt to meet the challenges of our continued growth, I am very
happy to announce three new additions to the Deployment Group. Joselyn
Guerrero joined the Deployment team as a Deployment Project Assistant
in January of 2006. Joselyn works out of our Cooper City, Florida
office, along with Christina and Florin. Joselyn has quickly become an
invaluable asset and we look forward to her continued contribution. Craig
Gill joined the Deployment team as a Deployment Project Manager in
February of 2006. Craig works out of our Raleigh, NC office along with
Russ Capps. Craig is a skilled Project Manager who brings a highly
respected approach to his craft. We are excited to have Craig join our
team. The third addition is Gregory Palmer who has just joined
the Perimeter team as a Deployment Telco Provisioner. Greg brings a
background in the telecommunication industry and we welcome his skills
to the Deployment Group. Gregory comes as a result of Cliff Miller
joining our Technical Account Management team, servicing our
ever-growing client base. Cliff has been instrumental in supporting our
Deployment Telco Provisioning needs over the past year. Cliff has
provided an immeasurable service and we will miss his attention to
detail. These additions to our team allow us to continue and
address your deployment needs in a timely and efficient manner. In
addition, Gail and I continue to improve our "technical turn-over" and
"Welcome to the SOC/NOC" meetings. These improvements allow for a
smoother and cleaner transition from Deployment to our support
environment. We thank you for the continued opportunity to earn your
trust each and every day and look forward to a very productive 2nd
quarter. Engineering Update from Bill Knight, VP of Engineering This
quarter, Perimeter added two additional isp (internet) peering
relationships. With this new addition, more bandwidth, alternative
routes, and diversity/redundancy are added to the mix. Also, we added
an additional SAN architecture to both the CT and NC data centers which
doubled our current storage capacity. Moreover, we doubled the
capacity of our email gateways to reduce email latency and provide more
redundancy. We migrated our core data base from Oracle 9i to Oracle 10g
Real Application Cluster (RAC) which provided us with tripled the horse
power to process queries and reporting, added redundancy, and gave us a
roadmap for scalability. Finally, we upgraded our Firewall to
increase our network throughput by ten times and doubled the capacity
for firewall policy processing. Sales Team Update from Kathleen Roberge, Sr. VP of Sales I
am pleased to announce that Perimeter's sales team has exceeded all
sales forecasts for the first quarter and it was a record breaking
quarter for new revenue generated as well as the number of contracts
closed. The Sales Team closed 500 contracts which included new client
contracts as well as additional contracts for existing clients. This quarter Perimeter added several new members to the sales team: - Bill Barnard – Sales Engineer
- Paige Bendixsen – Regional Vice President, Business Development (South Region)
- Ray Flynn – Client Relations Manager
- Mary Hanson – Client Relations Manager
- Kathy Kennison - Regional Vice President, Business Development (Northwest Region)
- Serina Kopczynski – Account Support Associate
- Rod Krzywicki – Regional Vice President, Channel Development
- Zachary Scott – Regional Vice President, Business Development (Credit Union Division)
- Aaron Shea – Regional Vice President, Business Development (Midwest Region)
- Joshua Turner – Sales Engineer
- Jason Victor – Account Executive
Additionally,
Perimeter promoted Chuck McMahon to the position of Director, Client
Relations. As Perimeter continues to grow, the role of ensuring client
satisfaction is critical. Chuck will serve as a client advocate and
coordinate all customer service efforts including client
communication. As always, we would like to thank our existing
clients who remain confident in Perimeter by continuing to contract
with us for additional services. Service Operations Center (SOC) Update from Robert McKernie, Sr. VP of Operations, Gail Beauchemin, VP of the Command Center, & Jason McGinnis, VP of Security Operations Operations
have undergone significant changes over the past few months, the
integration of the Raleigh team into the Perimeter family, the
migration of our Florida team relocating to our Raleigh facility, and
the welcome addition of the Seattle and Salt Lake City team members
just to name a few. All the integration activity has created a new team
within Perimeter Internetworking, the combined Command Center, SOC and
NOC are now all part of Client Service Operations (CSO). Today
within CSO, we have Command Centers in Milford and Raleigh and regional
support centers in Seattle and Charlotte and Salt Lake City. Our
leadership team's second quarter goals within the CSO organization
include, the migration to a single phone system, adoption of
best-of-breed processes and procedures, and complete review and
standardization of tools and systems to name a few. Every goal and
objective that we have is focused to improve the customer experience
for all Perimeter Internetworking customers. To optimize the
CSO organization, we have made a few changes to both Gail Beauchemin's
and Jason McGinnis's teams. Reporting to Gail will be the management
team of Lisa Gelfand, Matt Panella and Crystal Sheppard. As more and
more functions within Gail's team were moved to Raleigh, it became
apparent that we needed to realign our staff to better support the
growing customer base, and as such Matt Panella will take additional
responsibilities for management for night and weekend personnel in the
Raleigh Command Center. In addition, reporting to Matt Panella will be
Chuong Nguyen and his team who provide Gateway networking support.
Within Crystal's Help Desk group, Brain Wise will become a Group Lead
and help oversee the Help Desk functions within Raleigh as Crystal's
staff grows to include the Charlotte Help Desk staff. Within Lisa's
team, Jacob Thampi will assume the Lead role for the Application group.
The management team reporting to Jason will consist of Rick
Walsh and Rafael Alba. Rick will function as the Manager of the
Security Engineering team and will have 3 regional leads reporting to
him: David Bartlett, Rob Adams, and Dave Cutler. While Rafael will lead
the SOC as their new manager.
As we roll out our new
organization, each member of the team will focus on supporting our
objective as one team in multiple centers, with the number one priority
of providing exceptional customer service. Technical Account Manager (TAM) from Chuck McMahon, Director of Technical Account Managers The
main update for the TAM group this quarter is that I will be stepping
aside as the Director and Maureen Kaplan will be assuming that role for
this group. Maureen has directed all sales engineering and sales
activities for the Client relationship Manager (CRMs) for the last few
months and has proven that she understands the needs of our client
base. Maureen will move away from sales engineering support of new
client acquisition and focus strictly on the management of the CRM and
TAM groups. I will be taking on a new role as Customer Service
Director. I will be working to coordinate our customer service efforts
and will assist in the resolution of client issues that are escalated
beyond the standard means (through the SOC and NOC). I will also be
working with our client communications efforts to improve the flow of
information that we provide our client base concerning Perimeter's
services and the security landscape in general. Thank you for your continued interest in Perimeter Internetworking. |
