Perimeter Internetworking Appoints Kevin Prince Chief Security Officer

Milford, CT March 20, 2006 -  Perimeter Internetworking, the leading provider of multi-threat, managed Security In The Cloud services for financial institutions and other businesses with high data availability and security requirements, announced today the appointment of Kevin Prince to the position of Chief Security Officer (CSO). As CSO Kevin will assist with the company’s strategic and product development plans and will be responsible for many of its strategic relationships.

“Kevin brings a strong track record of entrepreneurship and product development, and a deep knowledge of security and compliance regulations to Perimeter,? said Brad Miller, CEO of Perimeter Internetworking. “Five years ago he founded Red Cliff Solutions, which he grew into the leading provider of managed security services to Credit Unions with no start-up funding, during the dotcom bust. He has demonstrated a very high level expertise and has earned significant trust in the industry. Kevin will be a great asset to our company.?

A well known expert in the security industry, Kevin regularly trains Federal Examiners at the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) and the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) on such topics as firewall security, remote access, virtual private networks, intrusion detection and prevention systems, and on what the examiners should look for when they examine a financial institution.

“I’m excited to join the management team of the fastest growing MSSP in the country and the only company that has achieved profitability in this market,? said Kevin Prince, Chief Security Officer, Perimeter Internetworking. Perimeter pioneered Security In The Cloud services in the financial services market six years ago when it built the industry’s first Fortune 500 class, on-demand security utility infrastructure, which it shares among its customers.

While at Red Cliff Solutions Kevin developed the industry leading CounterPhish product, the first anti-phishing incident response program specifically designed for Credit Unions. In January of 2006, Perimeter Internetworking acquired Red Cliff Solutions making Perimeter the largest provider of managed security services to financial institutions in the nation.  Prior to founding Red Cliff Solutions Kevin was Head of Sales Engineering for Intellispan which was later bought by McCloud USA. Before this he was a Network Project leader for National Computer systems responsible for computer security.

For over 16 years, Kevin Prince has worked in the Information Technology industry, focusing exclusively in the last 9 years on Internet security.  He has developed and managed several Internet security products designed for financial institutions in the areas of vulnerability assessments, firewalls, virtual private networks, and intrusion detection and intrusion prevention systems.   Kevin has helped hundreds of financial institutions understand the risks and threats of Internet security and conducted thousands of vulnerability assessments for financial institutions. He is a frequent speaker at industry leading conferences and trade shows including the National Credit Union League (NCUA) and others.
