Email is often credited with revolutionizing business communication and enhancing productivity. Its simplicity, speed of transmission and low cost make it a powerful means of communicating with colleagues, customers and suppliers. The ease and speed at which email messages can be forwarded to many recipients can present a range of risks to organizations if not sufficiently controlled. These risks include: breach of confidentiality, damage to reputation, lost productivity, legal liability and more. In order to protect against unauthorized email distribution of sensitive information, Perimeter has developed a Content Filtering Service which gives your organization the ability to block messages based on specific words or phrases found in the message subject, message body as well as any attachments.
